Palmer is a co-managing partner at Melton & Melton and has been with the firm since 1963. His focus is on performing audit engagements. Before joining Melton & Melton, Palmer spent four years at Deloitte.

Palmer was inspired to pursue a career in the field of accounting by the advice of a mentor. His success stems from both his technical experience and his commitment to providing timely service to all his clients. Throughout the course of his long career, Palmer has developed a valuable store of accounting knowledge—he even served on the first national peer review committee of the Private Companies Practice section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Palmer lives in Houston with his wife, Dolores; he enjoys the area because of its dynamic economic growth. During his free time, he likes to participate in outdoor recreation, fishing, and a variety of sports, including watching football.
