Melton & Melton Announces Promotion of Todd Selby to Partner

Melton & Melton is pleased to announce the promotion of Todd Selby to Partner in the firm’s Tax Department. Since joining the firm, Todd has built a strong reputation for his client-focused approach, technical expertise, and ability to help businesses navigate complex tax matters with clarity and confidence.

In his new role, Todd will continue working closely with privately held businesses, providing proactive tax compliance, planning, and strategic guidance. His experience spans the construction, real estate, manufacturing, and distribution industries, as well as supporting clients through mergers and acquisitions.

When asked about his promotion, Todd shared:

Todd graduated with honors from Abilene Christian University, earning his Master’s in Accountancy before joining Melton & Melton in 2014. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA). In addition to his professional work, Todd is actively involved with local nonprofits that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Originally from Abilene, Texas, Todd grew up playing the violin and even competed in fiddling competitions alongside his two older brothers. Today, he and his wife, Lauren, are raising their four children in the Houston area. Much of their family time is spent outdoors in Anahuac, Texas, the alligator capital of the state, where they enjoy being on the water and exploring nature together.
