Melton & Melton Announces Promotion of Christy Riley to Partner
Melton & Melton is pleased to announce the promotion of Christy Riley to Partner in the firm’s Audit Department. Christy’s leadership, technical experience, and dedication to serving clients have made a strong impact on the firm and its audit practice.
When asked about her promotion, Christy shared,
“Becoming a Partner has been a goal of mine since I began my career here right out of college, and I’m grateful for the opportunity. I appreciate the trust the firm has placed in me and the guidance I’ve received along the way. I’m committed to continuing support to our clients, developing our teams, and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s long-term success.”
Christy joined Melton & Melton in 2009 and works primarily on audits of privately held companies in the construction, service, non-profit, and real estate industries, as well as public and privately held employee benefit plan audits. Her experience helps clients navigate complex financial reporting requirements while maintaining compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
Christy earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Master of Professional Accountancy from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2009. While she initially pursued computer science, she ultimately found accounting to be a better fit for her strengths, particularly her aptitude for numbers and analytical problem-solving.
She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Houston Chapter of TXCPA. Christy remains closely connected to Stephen F. Austin State University through its alumni association and her Panhellenic sorority alumnae group.
Born and raised in Houston, Christy continues to call the city home with her husband and their three children. Outside of work, she enjoys attending her children’s sporting events, gardening, baking, and tackling DIY projects around the house.
Please join us in congratulating Christy on this well-deserved achievement.
