Brian Brownie, CPA
Brian graduated with honors in 1984 from Central
Michigan University. He was on the dean's list all four
years. Brian completed his Masters degree in accounting
at the University of Houston in 1993. The program
consisted mainly of advanced tax courses in the areas
such as corporate tax, international tax, oil and gas
tax, and estate taxation.
He joined Melton & Melton in 1984 and was
promoted to tax partner in 1993. While with Melton &
Melton, he has handled numerous substantial tax
assignments for clients in a wide range of industries.
He is responsible for tax engagements for several of the
firm's
most substantial clients. A large part of his time is
spent doing tax and strategic planning for larger
corporate and individual clients.
Brian is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of
Certified Public Accountants and the Houston chapter of
the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
